“Nobody Wants That” star Tovah Feldshuh weighed in after Adam Brody called for a “free Palestine” during an interview with GQ last month.

At the time, the actor, who plays Rabbi Noah Roklov in the Netflix series, explained that although he had never spoken publicly about the Israel-Gaza issue before, it came up “a lot” for him in private. He then made his position on the conflict clear: “Make me believe this is genocide,” he said. “Belittle me for wanting a free Palestine. It’s horrible that it took so much death and misery, but I feel like we’re reaching a breaking point that should have been reached some time ago.”

Speaking about Brody on Sunday, Feldshuh told the New York Post that “accusing the Jewish people of genocide is insane. It’s straight out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.” When these accusations come from Jews themselves, it “makes a difference for the (Jewish) community,” she added.

She continued: “I believe that the perseverance of the State of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and the free world…Of course, Israel needs the United States, (but) the United States needs Israel, believe me. “We are in a time where we have the ‘horseshoe effect,’ where socialism and anti-Semitism are trying to collide,” she said.

Feldshuh plays Bina Roklov in “Nobody Wants This,” the mother of Brody’s character. “My job, as Bina but also as Tovah, is to love the people on set in my workplace, to be kind,” she said.

Earlier this month, “Nobody Wants This” creator Erin Foster responded to Brody’s support for Palestine by saying, “I don’t agree with him, and that’s okay. »

“You know, it’s complicated,” Foster said of Brody’s comments while a guest on the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast. “I think our work environment, our work environment is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people debate and discuss and disagree. And, you know, as much as I like Adam, I don’t agree with him either, and that’s okay.”
