Patriots News: Pats-Jets are keys to victory and avoid a trap

Trap game. There, I said it.

Yes, it’s the JETS. The Pats have been on a roll in recent weeks with two solid wins. Drake Maye and the offense have caught fire despite significant injuries and the defense is in full disruption mode, even with cornerbacks taking major snaps. Everything is true. Take your eyes off the Pats highlights for a moment and you’ll see a solid Jets team – especially on defense. Aaron Glenn is also not listed in the coaching rankings. Maybe this feels more like a game than last week. The stakes are also higher.

The good news are the positive injury updates released yesterday, starting with the return to practice of WR AJ Brown. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll play this week, but he’s getting close. CB Christian Gonzales also says he’s “ready to go.” Everything is fine. New England needs to keep the boat afloat until it’s whole again, and a Week 6 win over the Jets would take them through some of the roughest waters.
