Patriots open AJ Brown’s 21-day window, Christian Gonzalez to practice Wednesday
New England’s offense has come alive over the past two weeks and the team could soon get its top receiver back.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters during his press conference that AJ Brown’s 21-day practice window opens Wednesday.
Brown suffered a sprained ankle in the Week 1 loss to the Seahawks. He was placed on injured reserve, missing the final four games.
Brown caught three passes for 26 yards before having to leave the season opener.
Notably, cornerback Christian Gonzalez will also practice Wednesday after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. He didn’t practice at all last week.
Cornerback Carlton Davis (neck) is not expected to return to practice Wednesday.
Offensive tackle Marcus Bryant will also have his 21-day practice window open upon his return from IR.
Finally, Vrabel noted that the team will likely wait until the weekend to determine whether running back TreVeyon Henderson and offensive tackle Will Campbell will be placed on IR, causing them to miss the next four games.
