All aboard the Marshall Manning fashion train! Of course, that won’t happen until 2030, but we’re getting a head start in case there’s traffic along the way.

As one Manning is about to leave college football for the NFL, the next one is already waiting in the shadows.

Yeah. You read that right.

Peyton Manning’s son is slowly making his way onto the field at The Baylor School (Chattanooga) – one of the top football programs in the country.

I wrote about Manning before this season, as early as Week 1, when he saw the field, briefly, in the season opener. It’s been pretty quiet on the Manning front since then, but the freshman started bubbling up last weekend…for a few different reasons.

For starters, he saw legitimate playing time in Baylor’s blowout win over McCallie, playing the entire fourth quarter in mop-up duty. The freshman played well, completing a few passes, leading a scoring drive and ringing his bell along the way.

Here’s how you throw a pitch, folks:

That’s not all Marshall Manning did last Friday

BOOM!

Good shot, better throw. I still remember Peyton Manning having his doors ripped off and somehow dropping pass after pass straight into the bucket. It was incredible.

Like father, like son!

Although, to be fair, Peyton would have spent 40 seconds hearing the right protection, so he avoided that kind of blow. Marshall will learn. The clocks at high school football games aren’t long.

Overall, it was a great night for Manning. Baylor got the win, completed a few passes along the way and finally saw real playing time behind Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher.

See? Nothing special, but still, some experience. That’s all you want as a freshman, right? Well, that and some scholarship offers would be nice…

Don’t worry! Marshall has nothing to fear in that regard.

Believe it or not, the first-year QB has already four Division I offers even if it barely minimizes this season. Four !

According to 247 Sports — which tracks this sort of thing — Manning has already received offers from Miami, Ohio State, Purdue and Missouri State. Not bad for a 15 year old.

Not bad for a kid who hasn’t even had his first touchdown in high school yet!

What a time to be alive.

Look, obviously, there’s a bit something to do with his last name. We also saw this with the insane recruitment of Arch Manning. If your last name is Manning, teams will likely be more willing to take a chance on you. Rightly so.

But we also live in a new era of college football. The NIL era. The transfer portal era. This is not the world I grew up in. This is definitely not the world Peyton or Eli grew up in.

Teams like Miami and Ohio State have all the money in the world to spend on these kids…for now. We’ll see how this new Congressional bill shakes things up when it finally passes in 2040 (roughly).

Why not make him an offer in his first season just to be on the board? You know you’ll have the money when the time comes to seriously consider it, so what’s the harm?

I’m not sure little ol’ Missouri State can compete with the Columbus boosters, but I appreciate the effort.

Anyway, none of that Really counting down to 2030. We still have a lot of Marshall Manning recruiting ahead of us, folks. A lot.

Honestly, we’re just getting started.
