Premier League press conferences and team news LIVE: Arteta, Maresca, Alonso and Carrick speaking
“There is a really good atmosphere within the group”published at 1:35 p.m. BST
Leeds Utd v Man Utd (Sun, 2:00 p.m. BST)
Manchester United
More from Manchester United manager Michael Carrick who says Lisandro Martinez will be in the squad for Sunday’s game at Leeds.:
“From the outside (you’re) looking for big news on big discussions but it was pretty simple. We all understood the situation and what it meant. He made his statement and admits that it was a mistake on his part and that was really all.
“We have a very good feeling within the group. We have a very good feeling within the club from within.
“In terms of results, it hasn’t gone as planned lately, but the spirit, the togetherness, again I said it, but today was one of the best training sessions we’ve had and you can see there’s a real feeling within the group that we want to do something about this situation and we want to do something quickly.
“We understand the situation that arose after the match, but we believe it has been resolved and we have moved on.
“I have really evolved and there is a freshness in the group today that I really appreciated.”
