The Aston Martin DBX is a performance SUV through and through. It has sharp styling, a sport suspension and plenty of power, no matter which trim you choose. But for buyers who want something a little more comfortable for daily driving, Aston Martin now has an answer.

Meet the DBX GT, the slightly softer side of Aston Martin’s super SUV. It benefits from a series of exterior, interior and suspension modifications aimed at making the DBX more comfortable. The good news is that it doesn’t give up the performance that makes this SUV so special; it still packs a powerful twin-turbo V8.

A more discreet DBX

The DBX GT benefits from a handful of visual changes for a sleeker look. The biggest change is the new twin-fin grille, available in gloss or dark finish. Slotted metal vanes extend into the exterior air vents and integrate the daytime running lights, giving the front a wider appearance.

There is also a new two-piece metal side strake with contrasting polished and satin finishes. Aston Martin says the design is inspired by traditional watchmaking. The lower front bumper, rocker panels and rear diffuser are finished in body color, giving the GT a cleaner appearance.

The GT rides on new 22-inch forged wheels with a diamond-turned satin finish and standard all-season tires. Aston Martin says this combination was chosen specifically to improve driving comfort and reduce road noise. Buyers looking for a sportier setup can upgrade to 23-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero summer tires or Scorpion Zero all-season tires.

At the rear, the four tailpipes are arranged horizontally in pairs, with polished outer sections and satin anodized inner sections.

Big changes inside

The biggest changes are on the inside. Aston Martin has redesigned the front and rear seats with additional padding, revised bolstering and new comfort-focused contours. There is also a 10.0 millimeter thick layer of memory foam built into the seat cushions. Grandpa.

The rear seats benefit from individually sculpted seating positions with extended headrests and bolsters, although the DBX GT remains a five-seater. A panoramic glass roof is standard, bringing more light into the rear cabin.

Aston Martin also offers GT-specific upholstery combinations in monotone, two-tone and tritone configurations. The interior uses semi-aniline leather, high-pile carpeting, intricate quilting, perforations and bespoke embroidery.

Sound insulation also received attention. Aston Martin has added sound-deadening material to the doors, wheel arches and rear cargo area, while acoustic laminated glass is used for the rear side windows.

The company claims these changes improve the vehicle’s “articulation index” by 13 percent. This is an industry measure of how easily occupants can carry on a conversation while the vehicle is in motion.

Good news: it still has 717 horsepower

Despite the emphasis on comfort, Aston Martin hasn’t softened the DBX GT where it matters most: the powertrain. It uses the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the DBX S. And the specs are just as impressive:

  • 717 HP / 664 LB-FT
  • 0-60 mph: 3.1 seconds
  • Top speed: 193 mph

The powertrain has been recalibrated slightly to make the GT feel more effortless. Throttle response has been tuned for more precise control, while the wet-clutch nine-speed automatic transmission benefits from revised shift calibration for smoother operation.

The DBX GT also benefits from the same carbon-ceramic brakes as the DBX S, measuring 420 millimeters at the front and 390 mm at the rear. A quicker steering ratio also trickles down, giving the SUV sharper responses.

The suspension also undergoes its own modifications. The GT features unique shock calibration and internal damping valves designed to better absorb small, high-frequency impacts such as rough pavement and rumble strips without giving up body control.

When can you buy one?

The DBX GT joins an already expanding DBX range, giving buyers another option between pure performance and everyday comfort. Aston Martin has not yet announced its prices. The DBX S starts at $291,200, so expect the GT to land somewhere in that neighborhood.

The first deliveries are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
