The couple have remained close throughout all the turmoil following the Duke’s exit from the United Kingdom and royal life in 2020.
The couple was born just two months apart and we grew up spending a lot of time together at family gatherings. Harry’s bond with the Spencer side of the family remained strong. George and his siblings, Celia and Emily, have a close bond with Harry.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle attended the wedding of George’s sister Celia McCorquodale in 2018, shortly after their own royal wedding.
George and other members of the Spencer family have also regularly supported Harry at major events in the UK. In 2024, Lady Sarah and Charles Spencer attended the Invictus Games 10th anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral, London.
George is the first family member the Duke has publicly united with since arriving in the UK in August.
Harry’s evening
For the occasion, King Charles’ youngest son was dressed casually, wearing blue jeans and a black puffer jacket for the match, where he was photographed in the stands with a drink, apparently a beer, in hand.
While his older brother, Prince William, is an avid football fan, the Duke prefers rugby. A source told HELLO! : “For Harry, it’s rugby more than football.”

Harry was previously boss of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, roles which his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, has since taken over following the Duke’s departure from the United Kingdom.
Our source added: “Harry says Archie and Lilli support Northampton and he’s looking forward to the day he can take them to a game once his security situation is sorted. He says it’s one hurdle at a time.”
The Duke and Duchess lost their taxpayer-funded security when they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
