Rams’ Alaric Jackson hit Bills’ Bradley Chubb after game
After his team lost the game, Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson lost his cool and struck Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb.
Well after the match ended, while Chubb was talking to players from both teams near midfield, Jackson approached him and they briefly exchanged worse before Jackson threw a right hook to Chubb’s jaw. Chubb remained unfazed afterward.
“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? An emotional game, it was a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “They always grab the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me up, and I just relaxed.”
Chubb was also seen talking to Rams defensive end Myles Garrett on the field, but when asked if they exchanged words, Chubb said there was no problem.
“Just the whole team. Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers flared,” Chubb said. “But that’s how it is. We’ve cleared it and we’re moving on to next week.”
Chubb did not mention Jackson by name in his postgame interview.
“Someone swung, but hey, it’s not my place to say who,” Chubb said. “There are cameras there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”
When asked if he was okay, Chubb said he was fine.
“I’m just ready for next week,” he said. “You see me, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. I’ll be ready for next week.”
It remains to be seen whether Jackson will play or be suspended next week.
