‘Reacher’ Gets Season 6 Renewal Soon After Season 4 Ends
Prime Video accelerates its launch Reach renewals, giving its flagship Alan Ritchson-starring drama a Season 6 revival just 12 days after the Season 4 finale and four months after the Season 5 debut order — the first time the series has received two renewals in the same year.
This opportunity allows the series developed by Nick Santora based on Lee Child’s books to remain on an annual basis. Season 5, which had already been largely written by the time of the May greenlight, began production in late July in Toronto, ahead of Season 4’s August 12 premiere. It is based on Make methe 20th book in the Child series. It has not yet been determined which novel will serve as the source material for Season 6. (Ritchson, who is also an executive producer on Reaching, recently revealed on social media that Die trying is his favorite book in the franchise, and that “I had it approved until someone got re-elected.” “)
The renewal comes as season 4 of Reach garnered 66 million viewers worldwide in its first 28 days on Prime Video, according to Amazon, defying the recent downward trend in streaming viewership by surpassing Season 3’s performance.

Through Amazon, more than half (58%) of ReachSeason 4’s audience is based internationally, with outsized performances in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Brazil.

In addition, Reach spawned a franchise with spinoffs Neagley, with Maria Sten, which looks good for a season 2 renewal.
