Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has been on the team’s injury report in recent weeks due to his left hand and the issue is said to extend into the coming weeks as well.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Shough has a pair of broken bones in his non-throwing hand. Shough was injured in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Falcons.
Shough hasn’t missed any practice time or game action, but has to stick his ring and pinky fingers together on his left hand while wearing other protection. The injury is expected to take several weeks to heal and Shough had to use his right hand for transfers during last Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
The Saints play the Giants on Sunday and are scheduled to face the Steelers in Paris in Week 7 before a bye week.
