This morning, IGN published a lengthy interview with Rockstar about Grand Theft Auto 6and while I’m sure there was a lot of valuable information in there for people who are excited for next month’s open-world crime drama, I was laser-focused on one particular anecdote from the preview, and now I’m just trying to figure out if Jasonthe stupid piece of the game criminal coupleshows pork or not, and I spent most of the day urging my colleagues to help me find out.
IGNThe interview with Rob Nelson, Rockstar’s head of development and co-studio head, mentions a moment during their demo where they switched from the perspective of the other playable character Lucia to that of Jason, and when you do that, the other character might be doing something like taking a walk or, in this case, taking a shower. IGNRachel Weber notes that the game actually shows Jason being completely naked, but his written memory is surprisingly vague.

Naked can mean a lot of things, but she notes that Jason was in the shower when the demo played to him, so one would assume he was wearing his birthday suit. We have no indication as to whether or not the game is hiding anything below the waist, but we know from the wealth of information available. GTA6 leaks that the game makes, in fact, have full frontal nudity. What we don’t know, however, is whether this extends to playable characters.
When the news first started circulating, I was on a train heading to a preview event (check out my Final Fantasy VII Reveal thoughts at 9 o’clock tomorrow morning here at Kotaku), so there wasn’t much I could do to look into this on my own. So I enlisted my colleagues. Rebekah Valentine, who previously worked at IGNcontacted his former colleague to ask for the gory details and discovered that Weber was on vacation. (And no, we’re not going to interrupt this over something so stupid.) Zack Zwiezen, our resident Grand Theft Auto head, reached out to Rockstar for clarification, but did not receive a response. Reb then made an extra effort to call Quite funnyGreg Miller, who answered his call during one of the channel’s live broadcasts, asking if they could give us details about Jason’s elusive penis from when they visited Rockstaronly for us to find out that when they saw the game it was apparently a different demo than the one Weber saw, as they didn’t see any naked Jason.

Although the details are vague, it hasn’t stopped RGT fans to use it online, whether as a joke or simply extrapolating and circulating the information we have. To answer the question of whether or not Jason shows pork Grand Theft Auto 6the answer is we still don’t know, but I’d like to know. Rockstar, just send someone outside your office to give me a thumbs up or thumbs down and come back. Or just, you know, respond to our request for comment. Don’t make me wait until the game launches on November 19th.
Updated October 7, 2026, 8:25 p.m. ET: Weber posted on Twitter that she hadn’t seen Jason’s pig. That doesn’t mean we definitely won’t do it when the game comes out. So we’ll know for sure next month.
