Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said nine of the injured were hospitalized, three of them in serious condition.
President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that further strikes were possible as Russian Shahed drone attacks continued on the capital and other Ukrainian cities.
“The damage is significant and there are also reports that people may be trapped under the rubble,” Zelensky wrote on social media.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that the missiles hit heavily populated civilian areas where, he said, there were no military installations nearby.
“Unfortunately, more strikes could happen,” Zelensky added.
At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) announced that the number of casualties had increased to 15.
“Overnight, the enemy attacked the capital with ballistic missiles and drones (unmanned aerial vehicles). As a result of the terrorist actions of the Russian Federation, damage was recorded in three districts of kyiv,” the report said.

Zelensky urges allies to speed up air defense deliveries
Zelensky renewed his call for faster deliveries of Western air defense systems and munitions, warning that delays were leaving Ukrainian cities vulnerable to further Russian missile strikes.
He said Ukraine remained facing a constant threat from ballistic missiles that could strike populated areas without warning.
In such circumstances, he argued, “artificial delays in the provision of air defense to Ukraine contribute to terrorism.”
The president called for the rapid implementation of political agreements on defense assistance, emphasizing that Ukraine needs enough weapons not only to intercept incoming missiles, but also to destroy Russian launchers.
The latest attack came amid an intensified Russian missile and drone campaign against Ukraine, with kyiv’s residential neighborhoods, transport facilities and civilian infrastructure repeatedly hit.
