Sarah Michelle Gellar shares rare photo of her lookalike daughter Charlotte

After the internet decided Sarah Michelle Gellar’s genes “didn’t even try” with her son — Freddie Prinze Jr.’s literal twin — she proves they outdid it with her daughter who looks just like him.

THE Buffy The star shared a series of photos from a mother-daughter outing Sunday during her hometown showdown between the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. In one photo, Gellar and Charlotte, 17, pose identically, sitting side by side, hands on knees, near the sidelines of SoFi Stadium.

But their physical similarities are also striking. Despite their contrasting hair colors, the blonde actress and her brunette daughter share the same smile. “My built-in best friend,” Gellar captioned the photo.

She previously posted a tribute to Charlotte on social media for her 17th birthday in September.

“You may have been the kid who made me a mom, but now you’re the person who brings out the best in me,” Gellar wrote alongside a sweet selfie of the two. Describing her daughter as “my biggest champion”, she added: “Thank you… for being you.” »

Last week, the mom of two also shared a rare glimpse of Rocky, her 14-year-old son with Prinze Jr., which made fans see double.

“Racing weekend with my boys,” Gellar captioned the carousel of Instagram photos, including one with Rocky as he prepared for a go-kart race with a new buzzcut that highlighted how much he favors his dad.

“Sarah’s genes didn’t even try 😭🤣,” one person commented on Gellar’s post. “Did you all shrink Freddie????😮,” asked a second. “He could have been Freddie Prinze Jr Jr,” joked a third follower.

Gellar referenced her son’s exciting hobby in an ode for his recent birthday, which falls a day after Charlotte’s, on September 20. Rocky “came running into our lives,” she recalls. “I should have known from your quick delivery the excitement you would bring. You have no idea how lucky I am to see you pursuing your dream.”

The actress, who got her start in commercials as a child and was cast as Erica Kane’s teenage daughter in All my childrentook a break from show business shortly after Rocky’s birth.

At the time, she was starring alongside Robin Williams on the CBS sitcom, The foolswhen the comedian died suddenly and “my world changed,” Gellar told PEOPLE.

“It was that moment: ‘Holy shit, things change in an instant.’ For the first time, I wanted a break, and I had never wanted one before. I was so defined by my work and my career that it was the propeller,” she explained. “And I’m so glad I did, because it’s time I never get to go back to my kids.”
