ANDERSON, South Carolina —

Officials say they will conduct mosquito spraying in Iva, South Carolina, after a confirmed case of West Nile virus.

Anderson County Emergency Management said officials will work alongside Gregory Pest Solutions within a one-mile radius in the area of Barnes Station and Manning Road.

This comes after authorities confirmed a case of West Nile virus in the region.

According to authorities, weather permitting, spraying will take place on November 13.

The water-based pesticide poses no health risk to humans or animals.

However, beekeepers are advised to move or cover their hives until spraying is complete.
