Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Family Speaks Out After Rapper’s Head Injury In Jail
Those close to Sean “Diddy” Combs are denying “completely false” reports that he fought with a Jamaican drug lord over the weekend.
Loren LoRosa told “Breakfast Club” listeners Thursday that she “spoke to a family member” of the troubled rapper who insisted “there was no fight at all” despite TMZ’s recent assertion to the contrary.
The denial comes after Combs, 56, was sent to the hospital Saturday for a head injury he suffered while at Fort Dix prison in New Jersey.
After Page Six reported Tuesday that Combs hit his head on a bunk bed, TMZ alleged he got into an altercation with kingpin “Dudus,” whose real name is Christopher Coke.
LoRosa, however, pointed out that although the outlet claimed the alleged altercation happened during his daily break, the music mogul was “guarded” when outside of his special housing unit (SHU) — and that Combs and “Dudus” were on “completely different sides” of the prison.
She acknowledged that Combs’ family is “not 100 percent sure what” caused the Grammy winner’s injury, but she insists that “it definitely wasn’t anything crazy.”
LoRosa noted that Combs “was taken back to jail,” where he “is currently sitting.”
She added that the former caseworker’s relatives were “distraught” by the breach of privacy, saying: “No one should know he was taken to hospital.”
“They don’t know where this (information) comes from,” LoRosa continued. “But they want to clarify things.”
She did not say which family member she spoke with. Combs, notably, is a seven-time father who received public displays of support from several of his children and his mother Janice Combs during his 2025 trial.
Charlamagne Tha God chimed in to speculate that “one of his men spread this story” and “amplified” it in order to show that Sean is “not safe” behind bars.
He then criticized Sean for having such a “noisy” prison stint since he was convicted of two counts of transporting prostitution last year and sentenced to 50 months in prison.
“If I were Diddy, I would just try to be as quiet as possible, do what I wanted and go home,” he said.
Sean’s rep previously told Page Six that his team had “no way to independently verify” the alleged fight between inmates — and that their main “concern was Sean’s health and well-being.”
A representative from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, meanwhile, insisted to us Wednesday that an altercation between Sean and “Dudus” “did not take place.”
The “Coming Home” hitmaker is set to be released on March 2, 2028, two months after its original release date.
The new date was set after a series of jail violations for alleged fights and phone use.
