Sean Hannity reveals he was ‘rushed’ to offer COVID vaccine to his audience
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity said he was “pressured” to offer Covid-19 vaccines to his viewers, even though he was not comfortable doing so.
The cable star explained how he was forced to sell vaccines during Tuesday’s episode of his show. Hang out podcast, where Hannity and Dr. Drew Pinsky spoke about the pandemic – and their problems with how it was handled.
“I was pressured – pressured – to tell my audience to get vaccinated,” Hannity said. “And I’m like, ‘I’m not a doctor. I’m just not. I don’t know anything about your health, I don’t know anything about your pre-existing conditions, your current condition, any comorbidities you might have, and I don’t know anything about this injection.'”
Hannity continued, “But I kept putting forward people with different points of view and said, ‘Take this seriously, consult your doctor, make up your own mind.’
Pinsky supported him, saying it was the “right thing” to do. The document made clear that it also believed the government had gone too far in forcing vaccines on the American public.
“The mandates came, you couldn’t move around the world without getting vaccinated, and that’s what’s glaring,” Pinsky said.
Hannity did not reveal who pressured him to talk about vaccines. He also did not specify when exactly this happened.
But he’s not the first public figure to claim she was pressured to talk about Covid-19 in a specific way; CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg notably claimed in 2024 by senior officials of the President That of Joe Biden The administration “put pressure” on Facebook and Instagram “to censor certain content related to Covid-19, including humor and satire.”
In 2021, The Guardian reported that Hannity talked about the virus and the vaccine on his show:
“Just like we said,” (Hannity) said, “please take Covid seriously. I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need any more deaths.
“Research like crazy, talk to your doctor, your doctors, the healthcare professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current health, and you and your doctor will make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously.
“You also have the right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important.
“And it makes perfect sense that many Americans would get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.”
On Tuesday, Hannity said he was angry at people who claimed if you “take the vaccine and you won’t get Covid” or “won’t impact others.” He said it all turned out to be complete “bullshit,” which Pinsky agreed with. And to make matters worse, Hannity said, the recent release of Dr. That of Anthony Fauci The Covid Journal proves that the American medical establishment knew these claims were false years ago.
Pinsky said it’s “unbelievable” that some pregnant women and young children are still choosing to get vaccinated, saying it doesn’t make much sense from a risk-reward perspective.
Experts have said these vaccines are safe for the general public, including pregnant women.
