Sean Strickland has doubled down on his friction with the UFC over pay.

“I will not fight or sign any contract until I understand this,” Strickland wrote. “I hope we figure it out soon. Thanks for all your support, it helps!”

Strickland has taken to social media since September to explain how unhappy he seemed with his current salary during negotiations for his title defense against Nassourdine Imavov.

Strickland is on a two-fight winning streak after finishing Anthony Hernandez and then outpointing Khamzat Chimaev to regain the middleweight title. Strickland said he even considered giving up his UFC title to finish his current contract at 205 pounds and then leave the promotion.

“I am considering going to 205, terminating my contract and retiring with Jake Paul,” Strickland wrote Wednesday. “Sounds fun.”
