Second October ‘event’ possible with new Macs as focal point
Apple has already announced an unannounced product reveal on October 13, and rumors suggest a second round of releases could happen by the end of the month.
October is shaping up to be a very busy month for Apple, with the delivery of the iPhone Duo, Apple Home receiving several new products and now a possible launch of a new Mac. Previous rumors placed Macs in November, but it looks like the “Scary Fast” event could repeat itself in 2026.
According to anonymous sources speaking to MacRumorsa second product launch is expected at the end of October. This is all rumor, the following is just speculation.
Previous rumors called the October 13 reveal of the new Apple TV, HomePod mini, and Home Hub an “event,” but Apple has yet to treat it as such. This will more likely be a press release accompanied by an announcement video without a press day event.
While this rumor calls the October 2 product announcement an “event,” it’s unclear if it will have an in-person component. New Macs equipped with the M6 processor are expected, as well as rumors of OLED MacBook Pros with touchscreens.
Nothing else is known about this potential product announcement. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.
The original “Scary Fast” event took place on October 30, 2023 at an unusually late hour. The iMac with M3 and the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro were revealed at the event.
