Self-made millionaire claims buying GTA 6 will save you $5,000
Mark Tilbury, self-made British millionaire, entrepreneur and social media educator, released a video giving the smartest financial advice of 2026: buy GTA6. According to him, this will save you a large sum of change.
“GTA 6 costs $99.99,” he said, opting straight for the more expensive Ultimate Edition rather than the $80 Standard Edition (perhaps, like many others, he considers the Ultimate Edition and its extra content to be the default). “If it takes you 80 hours, that’s $1.25 per hour of fun. But once you add side missions and explore the map, it comes out to 50 cents an hour.”
“Now, let’s say you play four hours every night, that’s 50 nights of entertainment. Compare that to going out, where you could easily spend $100 in a single night. That’s why buying GTA 6 saves you $5,000.”

Obviously the video is tongue-in-cheek and not actual financial advice (who goes out 50 nights in a row and spends $100 each?). But that’s actually a good point about the game’s value proposition. An investment in your time, if you will.
This is why publishers hope GTA 6 will set a new precedent for game pricing — other companies will struggle to compete with its size and scale. This seems like the kind of game you could play for hundreds of hours, and that’s before GTA Online even enters the equation.
“I’m a 40 year old gambler, I don’t drink a lot, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs or go out with friends,” one commenter said. “That’s how I explain the game to people.”
“Straight to mom,” said another. “Rockstar paid a billion dollars for this, so it’s a good deal in the end,” said another mathematician.
Tilbury is a businessman best known for his videos on frugal living. Although he is a millionaire, he reuses old cups, flies economy class, wears the same rotation of clothes and avoids luxury hotels.
