Sen. Kennedy says he assesses White House race: ‘Why not me on a rainy day?’

Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana) said Sunday that he is considering a run for president, but has not yet made his decision.

Kennedy said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he planned to run for Senate, but would run for president if he felt he could no longer be effective in Congress and the field of candidates for the White House was not strong enough.
