FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —

Six people were injured following a shooting early Sunday morning, according to Sgt. Stephen Mauk with Fayetteville police.

Fayetteville police said the shooting happened along West Avenue between Watson and Dickson streets.

Police said they responded to the scene around 1:41 a.m.

The names and ages of those involved have not yet been released.

West Avenue remains closed between Watson and Dickson streets.

An investigation is underway.
