The new Skydance has revealed its board of directors, effective immediately, led by chairman and CEO David Ellison and including newcomers Laurene Powell Jobs, founder and chairman of Emerson Collective, and Bobby Kotick, founder and former CEO of Activision.

They will exercise their functions as independent directors.

Co-CEO Ynon Kreiz, who joined Skydance last week, also sits.

Powell Jobs is a highly influential leader in business and philanthropy and a committed investor in journalism and media. His nonprofit investments in Emerson Collective include majority stakes in The Atlantic and Anonymous Content.

Kotick was CEO of Activision for 32 years, building it into one of the most successful video game companies in the world before selling Activision Blizzard to Microsoft for $68.7 billion.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will join the board as an advisor. Blair, who will serve in his personal capacity, is executive chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, a nonprofit organization that helps leaders govern in the age of AI. Paramount said his global leadership experience and commitment to innovation positions him as an invaluable advisor in shaping Skydance’s strategic priorities.

The other directors take over from the board of Paramount, which was renamed Skydance this morning after completing its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

“I am delighted to welcome Laurene and Bobby to our board of directors and honored to have Tony join us as an advisor,” said Ellison. “Along with our other directors, they bring the experience and fresh perspectives we need to make Skydance an extraordinary company, one that honors the legacy of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery while charting a bold course for the future.”
