Comments Off on Skydance org charts: Who holds the power under CEO David Ellison

David Ellison has assembled a management team that he hopes will help Skydance compete with media powerhouses like Netflix and Disney.

Skydance has revealed the executives who will oversee its streaming, technology product, television, sports and advertising teams, weeks after finalizing the mega-merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Ellison’s media giant updated employees on changes to their teams in recent weeks and sent a company-wide email Friday evening with links to memos detailing Skydance’s new direction.

Business Insider previously reported on the new leaders of Skydance’s product and technical teams reporting to the head of product. Danish Glasgowas well as its advertising unit under Jay Askinasithe director of advertising revenue.

We are now publishing org charts for each of the teams described in Skydance’s email blast to employees, some of which have not been previously reported.

It’s the clearest picture yet of Ellison’s management team as the media mogul attempts to transform the new-look Skydance into a streaming leader – armed with content from HBO, Warner Bros. Studios. and Paramount Pictures, CNN, CBS and cable networks like HGTV, TNT and MTV.

Several top executives are absent amid Skydance’s management shakeup, including former Paramount streaming chief Cindy Holland and Warner Bros. film co-presidents Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca.

Skydance’s product and technical teams will be primarily led by Paramount executives, while former WBD executives such as technical head Avi Saxena and streaming product head Tyler Whitworth will leave the company. However, Skydance’s streaming business is led by longtime HBO chief Casey Bloys and a number of executives on the WBD side.

Below are the 12 organizational charts in the order they appear in official memos or documents. We’ve added links to some of the names of people we’ve covered for further reading. Role descriptions are given in quotation marks when specific titles were not included.
