Solar Powered Trash Cans Removed from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Queue, Old Trash Cans Return
The new solar-powered trash cans installed at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure have apparently been removed and the attraction’s original, unpowered trash cans have returned to the queue.
The original trash cans return in Tiana’s Bayou adventure

These traditional cans were installed during the attraction’s construction in 2024 and remained in use when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in June of that year.
In July 2026, they were replaced by Magic Kingdom’s first solar-powered trash cans. The new units featured solar panels on their curved tops, built-in compactors, foot pedals for hands-free operation and exterior styling designed to complement the setting of Tiana’s Foods.
Although largely low-key in style, the brown bins have a little thematic flair, with a roundel on the trash can that reads “Help Keep Our Bayou Clean,” depicting a bird among the bayou vegetation.
Disney initially installed three of the solar-powered units in the attraction’s outdoor queue. Additional cans arrived later, including a pair near the adjacent restrooms and another further down the line, near the gift shops.

The old unpowered cans are now back in place where at least some of the upgraded units used to be. Disney has not announced why the solar-powered cans were removed or whether they will eventually return.
