South Carolina pass rusher Dylan Stewart has been considered a potential top-10 pick in next year’s draft. Recent events have complicated things.
Coach Frank Beamer suspended Stewart indefinitely. He hit an Alabama player during Saturday’s game. He was also seen arguing with coaches on the Gamecocks sideline.
Stewart was flagged for the punch but was not ejected.
The situation clouds Stewart’s season and potentially lowers his draft stock. Which could, as far as NFL teams are concerned, give one of them a great player for far less investment than would otherwise have been necessary.
