Springfield jail records show Evan Stewart was charged with DUII; The Oregon Ducks haven’t given up

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Springfield City Jail employee told KATU on Sunday that officers booked a person identified as Evan Stewart around 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).

Stewart was reportedly released about an hour later, at 8 a.m., to a third party whose name matched that of another Oregon Ducks receiver.

KATU reached out to the University of Oregon football program for confirmation and a statement regarding the reported booking, but had not received a response at the time of publication.

The reported booking comes after social media posts surfaced claiming several Oregon Ducks football players had been arrested.
