Steelers-Colts broadcast receives limited television coverage nationwide
Many will have to look for other ways to see the 2-2 Pittsburgh Steelers take on the 2-2 Indianapolis Colts this weekend. According to 506 Sports, the Sunday show will only air in limited regional markets.
Areas marked in red, including Hawaii and Alaska, will have access to the game on their local CBS affiliate channels.
Besides the local markets of Pittsburgh and Indianapolis, the game will be primarily available in the South with some Midwest coverage. Most of the Mountain Region will host the Denver Broncos-LA Chargers game while the West Coast and Northeast will host the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots.
If you’re outside the red zone, NFL Game Pass is available through YouTube TV for a cost. Otherwise, you may need to head to your local sports bar to watch the game.
CBS aired its A team on the Steelers with JJ Watt and Jim Nantz on the call covering the Steelers for the second time this young season.
The Colts are coming off back-to-back wins over the Houston Texans and Washington Commanders, while the Steelers have been alternating wins and losses all season, most recently with a Thursday Night Football loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Daniel Jones leads the Colts offense with star RB Jonathan Taylor, but their passing attack is currently crippled by an injury to Alec Pierce. They also traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers in the offseason. This is a solid matchup for the Steelers, who are currently lacking healthy talent in the secondary, but it may not make for the most pleasant viewing experience.
Pittsburgh is usually one of the top priorities for television networks as a major attraction nationwide. While this is a down week for TV coverage compared to most weeks, the Steelers brand still has enough clout to carry in regional markets. Continued lukewarm play could test this theory as the season progresses.
