Taylor Swift changed her hairstyle to celebrate her latest career milestone. The singer underwent a makeover – and partially revived her early curls – as she topped the UK charts with the re-release of her 12th album. The life of a showgirl.
Subtitle The Encorethe expanded version features four new tracks, including Swift’s latest single, “Patient Zero.” On October 2, the “Karma” artist appeared in an Instagram post shared by her label, Universal Music Group, which recognized her impressive chart entries.

“Taylor Swift scores her fifth official double as #PatientZero and The life of a showgirl: the reminder simultaneously topping the UK charts,” the caption begins. “Taylor is also the only artist to land three number 1 singles in 2026 so far.”
In the snapshot, Swift’s dirty blonde hair appeared slightly shorter than the lob she recently sported at the MTV Video Music Awards. She paired her chin-length trim, styled with loose curls, with a brown sweater, black belt and khaki pants, completing her look with her go-to red lip and winged liner.

After wearing her hair long for a while, Swift debuted a shoulder-length bob in August while attending the wedding of Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk. In photos obtained by Deuxmoi, she could be seen mingling with other guests at the ceremony in Gloucestershire, England.
Although Swift frequently wears her hair straight, she was born with naturally curly hair. Her loops were featured prominently on the covers of her first three albums, including her self-titled debut in 2006.

In a 2019 interview with SheSwift explained how the texture of her hair changed as she grew up: “Since I was born, I had the curliest hair and now it’s STRAIGHT. It’s the straight hair I wanted every day in middle school. But just when I accepted that I loved my curls, they left me. Please pray for their safe return.”
