Teresa Giudice says her daughter Milania had fentanyl in her system during airport encounter: ‘I want to save your life’

Teresa Giudice claimed her daughter Milania Giudice had fentanyl in her system during the explosive airport encounter, according to police body camera footage obtained by Page Six.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star told cops that Milania “had fentanyl in her system” while riding an elevator with her and her eldest daughter, Gia Giudice, during the incident at Tampa International Airport last Wednesday.

“Because I was laced, I’m going to college,” Milania, 20, retorted.

It is unclear whether Teresa was saying Milania had the drug in her system at that time or at an earlier time.

TMZ was the first to report the news.

Milania also told her parents that she had posted the video of their explosive argument on her social media, prompting Teresa to tell her: “I don’t care anymore.”

“I want to save your life,” Teresa told Milania.

Elsewhere in the body camera footage, Milania is captured raising her voice at Teresa and repeatedly shouting, “This is what we’re doing now,” while her mother and older sister calmly try to reason with her into cooperating.

“Hurry up mom! Why don’t you run! You wanted to make a scene!” Milania shouted aggressively before shouting “Teresa Giudice” for others at the airport to hear.

Teresa responded kindly to Milania, telling her that they were going to get on the plane together.

From there, the police accompanied them to their gate.

In a private police discussion, one officer can be heard confirming that Milania “uses repetitive language,” and another law enforcement official said she is a “danger to herself.”

“Yes, that’s why she called Baker Acted. They’re trying to get her back to a rehabilitation center,” another police officer said.

A moment later, Milania told Gia she didn’t want the cops there anymore and asked them to “run away.” However, Gia told Milania: “They are here to help you. »

Another body camera clip showed Milania walking away from the cops as they followed her through the terminal.

Page Six reached out to Milania’s rep for comment.

Teresa released a statement on Instagram that read: “As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety and well-being of my children.

“The last few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I think it’s important to say something while protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life. Milania has experienced immense grief and psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends. Grief affects everyone differently, and seeing your child try to deal with this kind of loss is something no parent can truly prepare for.”

Teresa added that her “only focus” is Milania and “making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support and the care she needs.”

The Bravo star added, “This is a young woman going through an incredibly difficult and deeply personal time, and she deserves the opportunity to heal without having every moment of her pain analyzed publicly. I am asking, from one mother to another, and from one family to all of you, to show Milania compassion and kindness and give her the privacy she needs at this time.”

Page Six previously reported that cops were alerted to the altercation around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday after several women reportedly asked for help.

Cops were told Milania was “having suicidal thoughts” and suffering from a “mental breakdown,” according to an incident report obtained by Page Six. The report also stated that she had recently been released from the hospital and was traveling with a counselor.

Milania’s rep exclusively told Page Six last week that the student was “under professional care” following the incident.

“Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and we are all doing everything we can to support her as she goes through an incredibly difficult time in her life, especially after the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria,” the reality star’s manager and longtime family friend, Maria DeSantis, said in a statement to Page Six at the time.

DeSantis added that Milania “is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who work with her and her family.”

Her representative described Milania as a “kind-hearted” and “caring” young woman going through a “very difficult time.”

“In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences can help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together,” the statement concluded.

The airport incident comes just months after she was arrested in New Jersey in May and charged with simple assault following a domestic dispute.

Milania then enrolled in anger management classes.

She is due back in court on Tuesday.
