The best Prime Day video game discounts for PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox – 18 best October deals
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is now live and there are tons of great gaming deals to check out as part of the limited time offers. These are exclusive to Prime members, with the deals available from October 6-7, so there’s only a short window available to find some great deals.
Whether you’re on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox or PC (or all four!), there are plenty of discounts to discover on games, accessories, storage and much more. I’ll leave some highlights just below, but read on for a more in-depth look at the deals up for grabs over the next 48 hours.
TL;DR – Best Prime Day gaming deals today
2026 has been a great year for video games so far. So good, in fact, that it can be a little difficult/expensive to keep track of them all! Luckily, the latest Prime Day sale has some great deals, all of which I think are worth considering.
For starters, critical darlings Star Wars: Zero Company and The Blood of Dawnwalker are both on sale now for PS5 and Xbox consoles.
Zero Company is down to just $47.99, $12 off its list price and the first significant discount since launch day. This is also a first discount for Dawnwalker, down to $59.49, more than $10 off its MSRP of $69.99. Both games received 9/10 ratings when reviewed on IGN, making these recommendations simple.

Free trials and Amazon Prime subscriptions
6
30-day free trial, $2 for 7-day trial, 6-month trial for young adults (18-24).
Pragmata is another standout game of the year, also down to $39.99 for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. While another 2026 hit, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, is also dropping to $59 for PS5 and Xbox, a $10 savings, as is The Blood of Dawnwalker. Resident Evil: Requiem is also down to just $49.99 on Amazon for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2, and it’s my favorite game of 2026 so far!
If you are looking for suitable, suitable discounts (and I mean way more than $10 off), then let me mention a few other highlights. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 for just $16.99 is a real bargain, and I’m pretty confident it’ll be sold out before the sale ends on October 7.
Over a hundred hours of content for just $17 is crazy, and This is my best deal in the sale so far! Remake Intergrade also costs $19.99 for PS5, while both games have also dropped to their lowest prices ever for Switch 2 ($24.99 and $34.99, respectively).
Other great deals include Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for $19.99 on PS5 and Xbox, which is $50 off for a limited time and a fantastic deal. We gave it a 9 in our IGN review last year, and I highly recommend the game myself, as it’s an absolute blast. Well worth the $20.
Video game console deals – Prime Day
Nintendo Switch 2 console deals

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle + 3-month NSO subscription
0
Save $37.98 on everything rather than purchasing separately.
Obviously, most retailers will highlight the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle in the sale, even though it’s not technically a sale item. You can save $37.97 if you purchase this bundle, rather than purchasing the console, game, and NSO subscription separately.
It’s definitely not as good as the bundle deal we saw for the Switch 2 at launch, but given that the price of these bad boys increased this year (along with everything else, am I right?), it’s still not a bad deal and nonetheless worth noting.
Xbox console deals

XBOX Series X 1 TB digital console pack
3
Fully digital console (discless gaming) with XBOX wireless controller and Gears of War E-Day.
Another great deal, although significantly more expensive than anything else I’ve mentioned, is the Gears of War E-Day Xbox Series
The Xbox bundle is listed for $819.97 and includes a 1TB Xbox Series
The overall savings is $150, and while that’s not a bad Granted, it’s still expensive and will probably only appeal to a privileged few. At $820, this will be a tough ask for many of us, and while I’m cautious about giving any type of financial advice, Best Buy also offers the option to pay over 12 months at $68.34/month, just so you know.
Overall, the set is worth considering if you’re OK with digital-only gaming (especially with Xbox letting you digitize your game discs now) and are looking for a way to play GTA 6 and the critically acclaimed Gears of War E-Day.
PS5 console deals

PlayStation 5 825 GB console

For those looking for a PS5, just like Xbox, I would recommend checking out the deals at Best Buy right now. While there aren’t any decent deals on standard PS5 consoles, you can still grab a refurbished 825GB PS5 (yes, the big version) for $549.99.
That’s a $100 savings compared to buying a new PS5, and it’s worth considering if you desperately need a console before GTA 6 releases next month.
Speaking of which, Best Buy is currently offering a $50 reward certificate to anyone who bundles a Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-order with an eligible PlayStation 5 or Xbox console, including the refurbished model currently on sale. Not bad – otherwise, maybe wait until you see the Black Friday deals!
I would also recommend considering a certified refurbished PS5 directly from PlayStation via the PS Direct store. A refurbished PS5 currently costs $549, while the refurbished PS5 Digital Edition costs $499.
This makes the choice between Best Buy and PlayStation a little more interesting. For the same price, the PS Direct option gets you the new PS5 design with 1TB of storage, although you’ll forgo Best Buy’s $50 reward certificate offer.
Save on Select Switch 2 pre-orders

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

These deals may not be related to the current Prime sale, but they’re video game deals worth reporting nonetheless.
Some soon-to-be-released Switch 2 games – Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metroid Ravenous, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort – all currently have $10 off their pre-order prices.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort – Nintendo Switch 2

Save on a $10 Nintendo eShop Gift Card
Speaking of Nintendo Switch game libraries, this eShop gift card deal is definitely worth a look if you, or someone you know, is hoping to pick up some new digital games this fall.

$10 Nintendo eShop Gift Card (Digital Code)

Amazon slashed 10% off the regular list price of this $10 gift card, so you can get it for $8.98 instead. This is a nice little deal to add to your cart, especially if you’re holiday shopping for a Nintendo fan.
The store page says you can also buy up to 2, so why not grab the second one as a little treat for yourself?
Should we wait for Black Friday?
Honestly? Probably, yeah. While Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days sales are a good opportunity to snag some great deals, more often than not, these deals will reappear in a month or less as they were, or as even better deals. If you can hold out, I would always recommend waiting a little longer to save a little more.
That being said, there is a rare chance that some transactions will appear are It’s worth getting it back as soon as possible. The rest of my team and I often try to offer these great deals as soon as we can, so that you have the best opportunity to close them. Otherwise, consider the rest of this article a helpful guide to what’s on sale, what you can buy if you want, and what prices to look for when Black Friday sales finally roll around in November.
The only other reason I would suggest not waiting is if you value your time more than your money. It seems obvious, but it’s not always a luxury we can all have. If you desperately want to play this game like right away and it’s driving you crazy, or your TV just broke, or you lost your headphones, sales like this are a great opportunity to get paid on time, so you don’t have to stress or worry about anything. Whatever it is, do what’s best for you. I’m just a silly little guy, writing about silly little affairs, on a silly little website.
