‘The Hunting Wives’ Second Season Is Dramatic and Silly
Do you want drama?

The best thing about Netflix’s success The Hunting Wives he knows what you want. The season two trailer promises more of the same. There’s more lesbian sex that Texas Christian ladies aren’t supposed to have. “Let’s wash away all the sins from last night,” Malin Akerman’s character Margo advises Brittany Snow’s Sophie as they sit in the bathtub. “I don’t think we can undo what we did last night,” Sophie replies, probably referring to both sex and murder. There is more ridiculous drama, like that of a biker played by Widows Bay star Dale Dickey spitting on a fallen body. And there are so many other wigs. It’s wigs on wigs on wigs. Everyone’s face is adorned with hair that is not their own and which actually appears to be floating above their heads. Dickey’s, in particular, doesn’t seem to slip off her because of a headband. My God, this show is incredible.
The Hunting Wives season two will have big shoes to fill after the success of the first season, but it looks set to succeed. Rather than Netflix using its typical extended break between seasons, the streamer is giving fans season two in quick succession. Those reports about people not watching second seasons of Netflix shows because the breaks are too long might have hit home. The upcoming drama will premiere on Thanksgiving. Why not show grandma some violent lesbians?
