The Ravens reportedly acquired quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Cardinals to compensate for injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley
The Baltimore Ravens are acquiring veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Brissett will add experience to a quarterback room that will be without starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley for the foreseeable future.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the trade is expected to be finalized next weekend. That means the Ravens won’t have Brissett for Thursday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Baltimore is still set to sign undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano. Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis will back him up and both signed with the Ravens earlier this week.
Schefter reported that Brissett is expected to start for Baltimore in its next game against the Los Angeles Chargers on the Week 10 edition of “Monday Night Football.”
Baltimore will acquire Brissett for his experience. The Ravens’ current quarterback room has no career passing touchdowns, while starting running back Derrick Henry has four.
Brissett signed with the Cardinals this summer after waiting for a better contract. He has led Arizona to a 3-5 record this season and has 1,719 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

The veteran quarterback was benched late in the third quarter of last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Arizona trailed 17-3, but Gardner Minshew led the Cardinals to a comeback victory, beating the Cowboys in overtime.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Minshew would start this week for Arizona against the Seattle Seahawks.
While Ravens fans may be excited about this experience heading to their team, they will have to wait a week to see it in action. That means Fagnano will lead the offense in the meantime, as Jackson was added to injured reserve with a thumb injury and Huntley was diagnosed with turf toe, which is expected to end the season.
In relief last week, the rookie completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and had 1 interception. Fagnano also ran the ball three times for 3 yards.
