Celebrities appeared in their wackiest and craziest outfits for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Sunday.

While the recent Emmys red carpet featured more classic looks with fewer fashion risks, the VMAs were quite the opposite. Performers wore leopard prints, pink shirts emblazoned with “Madonna” and red Adidas shoes on the carpet without a care in the world.

Snoop Dogg hosted the event, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It’s the first time in nine years that the awards show has been held on the West Coast, and Snoop made sure to celebrate.

“MTV and the VMAs have been a part of my story since the beginning,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement after his hosting duties were revealed. “Some of the greatest moments of my career happened on that stage and on MTV – they gave hip hop a place to be loud, fearless and seen by the world. So to come back now and host the VMAs, all these years later, is a full circle moment for me.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting a possible Taylor Swift red carpet appearance, which would be her first since she married husband Travis Kelce in July. The “New Romantics” singer is up for nine nominations, just behind Madonna’s eleven.
