‘Tired’ Catherine Zeta-Jones Delivers Unexpected Reaction to Michael Douglas’s Explosive Memoir
Catherine Zeta-Jones recently shared what she really thought about her husband Michael Douglas’ new memoir One Helluva Ride, out October 6.
The actress visited Todayon October 8, where she spoke candidly about the book.
Willie Geist asked, “I have to ask you, because I just told you, I interviewed your husband Michael Douglas yesterday. He has a memoir out. He told me, and I’m curious if this is true, that you hadn’t read the book yet?”

Catherine admitted: “It’s true.” She explained: “Listen, I just finished (filming) on Wednesday (for) season three. We filmed in Dublin for seven months and then I literally got on a Ryanair plane and landed in London – I did the whole shoot. Kill Jackie thing.”
The movie star continued: “Then I went to Bilbao, Spain, and now I’m here to talk to you, Willie, about the fabulous Today to show.”

In addition to sharing her busy itinerary, she joked, “And as much as I love my husband, when I’m tired at night, I have no intention of reading about him…at all.”
Regardless of the fact that she hasn’t read the book yet, she announced, “But everyone should. The book is called One Helluva Ride, and I think everyone should keep their cowboy hats on, because I think they should.”
Since this memoir delves into not only Michael’s successful career, but also his marriage to the actress, Willie teased what Michael told him in his recent Today interview.

Willie recalls, “He told me he came home the other night and sort of peeked around the corner, and you didn’t seem upset, so he was like, ‘Okay, we’re in good shape.'”
Catherine replied charmingly: “He surprised me at the right time,” laughing.
The couple, married since 2000, know a thing or two about longevity, and it’s obvious that humor is a big part of their personal secrets to success.

Michael shared his views with People on what makes a marriage work in the long run, confirming: “A good sense of humor doesn’t hurt, number one.”
He continued, “And speak openly. Never use the words ‘never’ or ‘always’ when you’re angry with each other. And put yourself in the other person’s shoes before making your value judgment.”

Catherine added that she had “no intention” of doing so (@Instagram)
Overall, it’s about enjoying each other’s company and sharing hobbies together as a form of bonding.
Michael continued: “But you have to have fun. When I first met her, I said, ‘Do you like golf?’ She said, “I love golf.” Well, I melted.”
