Depending on when you do this puzzle, you may have already applied some of these things, whether in the morning or evening.
How to play strands
The New York Times Strands Puzzle is a classic word search word game. It’s in beta at the moment, which means it will only last if enough people play it every day.
There is a new Strands game to play every day. The game will present you with a six-by-eight grid of letters. The goal is to find a group of words that have something in common and you will get an idea of what that theme is. When you find a topic word, it will remain highlighted in blue.
You will also need to find a special word called spangram. This tells you what the words have in common. The spangram connects two opposite sides of the board. Although theme words are not a proper noun, spangram can be a proper noun. When you find the spangram, it will remain highlighted in yellow.
Be warned: you will need to be on your guard.
“Some themes are fill-in-the-blank sentences. They can also be steps in a process, elements all belonging to the same category, synonyms or homophones,” notes the New York Times. “Just as she varies the difficulty of Wordle’s puzzles in a week, (Word and Strands editor-in-chief Tracy) Bennett plans to throw curveballs at Strands’ solvers from time to time.”

It kind of made me feel bad that I didn’t use anything here except sunscreen. Most often. Sometimes. Okay, most of the time I hide in the shadows these days.
