The 51-year-old also shared her vision for the future, particularly regarding the grievances she had with those close to her.
“You know, we’re getting older now and since my ex-husband, Gabe, passed away, I’ve realized how short life is,” she added. “You know, this nonsense is just unnecessary and as long as we have breath in our bodies, there is always time to make amends and find a solution.”
Braxton also talked about how Scales was there as a pillar of support.
“It was a very difficult time,” she noted. “My sons also went through a very difficult time, but you know, thank God for my fiancé now. You know, he really helped me through it, he was by my side and I knew it was hard for him sometimes, especially looking at me as his current fiancée, but grieving for someone else.”
“But he knew where the place was,” she explained, “where my heart was and I thank God for him.”
Scales’ death also comes four years after her sister Traci Braxton died following a battle with esophageal cancer.
