President Donald Trump I couldn’t give Ken Paxton drop in gas prices – but he made him reconsider the rule on methane pollution which Paxton led the legal charge against.
Asset traveled to West Texas Tuesday to drum up support for Republican attorney general Ken Paxton who is fighting a tight battle in the Senate against the Democratic state representative. James Talarico . He announced at the rally Tuesday a new proposed rule from the U.S. EPA that would reduce requirements for oil and gas companies to limit methane leaks. Paxton was the first to pursue on the rule in 2024.
“Under crooked Joe Biden “Democrats have crushed small oil and gas operators…with crippling regulations and skyrocketing methane prices,” Asset said. “Tonight, I am officially ending Biden’s costly and unnecessary methane regulations to save energy consumers and producers $45 billion in costs, unlock vast quantities of Texas natural gas, and produce 210 million barrels of oil.”
