Trump goes on a rampage in the middle of the night, hours before polls open
President Donald Trump launched a pair of messages Tuesday attacking two candidates in the midterm elections.
The first, published at 12:52 a.m., castigated Abdul El-Sayed, Michigan’s Democratic candidate for the US Senate.
“Abdul El-Sayed hates Jews and hates black people. Don’t feel bad, he hates white people too,” Trump wrote, then mocked his supporters as well: “Only fools would vote for him in the US Senate race in Michigan! He will do you 100%!”
About 20 minutes later, Trump attacked Daniel J. Sullivan, an Alaska Senate candidate with the same name as Sen. Dan Sullivan, the Republican incumbent also running.
To distinguish the two, the ballot has “Incumbent” under the senator’s name.
In a speech in all caps, Trump wrote:

CBS News reported over the weekend that Daniel J. Sullivan was not in his hometown of Petersburg, Alaska, and that no one knew his whereabouts. However, the news agency discovered that Sullivan and his wife are known to be “world travelers.”
Trump claimed that the second Sullivan was committing “voter fraud” by sowing confusion among voters, and ordered his Justice Department to take legal action to block certification of the vote.
A judge threw out the case on Sunday.
Several Sullivan donors said they were visited by FBI agents to see if they knew which Sullivan they were donating to.
They did — and at least some weren’t happy with the visits, telling KFSK they considered the visits “voter harassment,” “interference” and “voter intimidation.”
Trump also demanded that Democratic candidate Mary Peltola – who is leading in some polls – be removed from the ballot after The New York Times reported that Democratic operatives had been actively recruiting “spoiler” candidates, including seeking out other people named Dan Sullivan.
Peltola has denied any involvement and the tactic – while controversial – is not inherently illegal.
