“Well, they agreed,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for Ohio.
“Because I said, ‘You agree.’ That’s why they agreed. “Because I said they agreed,” he added.
Asked about the Russian attacks, Trump said: “Well, I would have to take a look and see, because there have been violations on both sides.” »
Drone strike kills one, injures five in Kyiv
Separately, a 25-story residential building in kyiv’s Darnytskyi district was hit Monday evening by a Russian drone, which killed a woman and injured at least five other people, the city’s military administration said.
Earlier in the day, debris from Russian attacks sparked a fire in a private residential building in the same area, and at least two people were injured in daytime strikes.
The latest attacks come as President Zelensky said Monday that while Ukraine was ready to stop attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, Moscow continued to strike his country’s energy sites.
Trump’s brief social media post Sunday provided few details, but said the energy ceasefire went into effect immediately, adding: “Don’t break it!” On Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not say whether Russia had agreed to such a ceasefire, saying only: “Contacts are ongoing.”
