President Donald Trump has stepped up the fight against Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook by creating a commission to evaluate mortgage fraud allegations his allies have made against her.
The committee will report to Trump “if there is ‘reason’ for the impeachment of Governor Cook,” according to an Oct. 7 memorandum. He will review the evidence in a closed-door hearing at the White House scheduled for November 5.
