Vincent D’Onofrio Shuts Down God Of War Laufey Gooner’s Complaints: ‘Buddy Got Bodied By Kingpin’

Due to an unfortunate confluence of events, including social media algorithms rewarding the stupidest takes, a very small but very vocal and obnoxious contingent of people who claim to love video games have become obsessed with the fact that every female video game character doesn’t look hot enough. The epidemic of stupidity has gotten so bad that even Vincent D’Onofrio felt compelled to tell these people to shut up.

God of War Laufey is the latest target of this gooner conspiracy, specifically its protagonist, Faye, who is played by Deborah Ann Woll. “The players at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio have made their position clear: they choose feminism over their jobs. They would rather go bankrupt than give you an ounce of female attractiveness,” wrote the X account Geralt of Goonia, a CIA psychological operation if ever there was one. “Now it’s up to you, players, to give them what they want. Boycott God of War Laufey.”

Of all the people one would expect in Geralt’s mentions of Goonia, it turned out to be none other than Woll. Daredevil his teammate, D’Onofrio, who came to the defense of the match. “Not that you asked, but… I don’t agree with you in any way,” he replied. “Deborah is beautiful and extremely talented. She is as smart as a whip and a complete nerd. Also incredibly kind. How perfect! And a good friend. I’m a fan of God of War. I, for one, can’t wait to play the new game with my son.

Geralt of Goonia took this as an invitation to try to educate Mr. D’Onofrio about the horrors of #metoo destroying the Dead or alive franchise. “Actually, it’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s a fact,” the story retorts, accompanied by a screenshot of an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.

But D’Onofrio, having defended his partner, knew it was best not to continue engaging. Someone else in the thread said the only thing left to say: “Buddy got bodied by Kingpin.”
