A Reuters reporter asked the president why he no longer plans to attend a rally in Kansas on Saturday for Republican Sen. Roger Marshall, who is in a competitive re-election race.
Trump responded that Marshall is “doing very well” and does not feel compelled to go to Kansas, adding that he would instead hold a tele-rally and maintain his plan to travel to Florida on Friday.
When the reporter asked the president, who had been a little hoarse in his voice in recent days, if the cancellation might mean he was “tired of traveling,” Trump retorted: “Oh, you’re sick of asking that question.” You are sick.”
He then insulted the journalist, calling him “disgusting” and “out of shape”.
“You’ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You’re disgusting. Get in shape. You look like hell,” Trump said before walking away.
