We now have images of the smart home products that Apple and LG are reportedly preparing
A recent report states that Apple and LG have teamed up to develop several smart home gadgets, with an official reveal expected next week. Now, a reputable leaker has released several renders of these gadgets, along with some specs.
These leaked images show off the smart lock, thermostat, and temperature sensor. The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock appears to have a keypad that twists to open. It would support auto unlock and press to unlock, with power backup and built-in master codes. The leaker says it comes with two mechanical keys.
Here’s your first look at the home accessories Apple co-developed with LG. 🧵

The LG smart thermostat includes humidity, brightness, and language settings. As for the design, it looks like every other smart thermostat on the market. It’s circular and, you know, thermostat-shaped.
The LG temperature sensor can also detect humidity and has a magnetic back to attach it to metal surfaces. It comes with a replaceable battery.

These aren’t the only three smart home devices the two companies are likely to cook up. Reports suggest that Apple and LG are also working on a video doorbell, indoor camera, outdoor camera, and floodlight camera. All these gadgets would be launched under the LG brand, not as Apple products.
