Having only two teams bye last Sunday probably didn’t affect fantasy football lineups too much. The same cannot be said for this week. Four teams facing each other undoubtedly changes the Week 6 fantasy football standings and creates some anxious Fantasy starting decisions. Fortunately, some players who got off to slow starts have come on strong lately, like Drake Maye, Jordan Love, Bucky Irving and Malik Nabers, to create a deeper pool of options to choose from with the Week 6 fantasy football picks.

Injuries have been piling up around the league, with Lamar Jackson (ankle) and Jalen Hurts (blood clot) topping the list of quarterbacks who will be out this week. Caleb Williams (hamstring) practiced this week and is expected to play, although he officially has a questionable label. At the skill positions, DJ Moore (shoulder), Pat Freiermuth (calf), Quinshon Judkins (ankle) and Omar Cooper (ankle) are among the players heading into Sunday who are listed as questionable.

Before setting your Week 6 fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 6 fantasy football rankings from SportsLine’s proven computer model.

When it comes to player rankings, SportsLine’s model has beaten human fantasy football experts in recent seasons, especially when there were big differences in rankings. Over the course of a season, it could literally be the difference between winning your championship or going home empty-handed.

The same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football advice, including being ahead of players like AJ Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anyone who had bet on players like these could have had a shot at the championship title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy Football rankings for Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season. Head over to SportsLine now to see them.

Best Week 6 Fantasy Football Picks

One surprise in Week 6: The model is no match for Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins, although he ranks sixth in fantasy points for QBs this year. The veteran has overachieved to start the year, but is coming off his worst game with just 243 passing yards and 1 touchdown against New England. Cousins is heading in the wrong direction as after throwing 3 passing touchdowns in each of the first three weeks, he then had two scores in Week 4 and then one in Week 5. The Raiders face Buffalo on Sunday, and Cousins has five total fumbles (two lost) and three picks in his last two games against the Bills. Cousins isn’t even in the top 15 at his position this week, as he is one of the players to disappear from Week 6 fantasy football lineups.

Another curveball: The model is high on Colts receiver Josh Downs, although he is the WR43 in PPR leagues. Downs is coming off 3 catches for 47 yards on Sunday and has averaged 4.5 receptions for 53 yards over his last four games. However, his Fantasy floor and ceiling will be much higher in Week 6 against the winless Titans. Downs has scored a touchdown in three of his last four games against Tennessee, and this year the Titans have allowed eight different players to post at least 60 yards or a touchdown in just five games. Downs ranks among the top 20 Fantasy WRs this week. For more Fantasy football start/sit tips, be sure to check out the rest of the Week 6 Fantasy football rankings.

How to make the Week 6 fantasy football rankings

The model also calls for a surprising quarterback you wouldn’t even think about to finish in the top six of its Week 6 fantasy football rankings, ahead of Dak Prescott and Jayden Daniels. This choice could be the difference between winning big and going home with nothing. View the full Week 6 fantasy football model rankings for PPR and standard leagues here.

So who should you start and sit this week, and which surprising QB could lead you to victory?
