What Jamie Lynn Spears Really Thinks About Her Sister Britney’s Latest Instagram Takedown
Jamie Lynn Spears is ignoring her sister Britney Spears’ latest Instagram takedown, Page Six has learned.
An insider exclusively shared with us on Monday that Jamie, 35, and her husband, Jamie Watson, “aren’t really concerned about the post,” mainly because it doesn’t feel true to them.
“(Britney) held Ivey, and Ivey loves her,” our source insisted after the pop princess claimed her sister “never let her hold” her and Watson’s 8-year-old daughter “once” when she visited family in Louisiana during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
In Sunday’s scathing post, Britney twice proclaimed that she would “find a new family,” saying they had all participated in “secret things…behind her back.”
The Grammy winner, 44, said “they made her feel like a slave,” noting that “all she did was work for her father,” Jamie Spears, who oversaw her controversial 13-year conservatorship.
Britney also took aim at ex-husband Kevin Federline, with whom she shares sons Sean Preston Federline, 20, and Jayden James Federline, 19.
According to the mother of two, Kevin “didn’t let her use the bathroom” in his house every time she “went to pick up (their) kids.”
The post was accompanied by a screenshot of Dakota Fanning’s precocious and emotionally reserved character in the 2003 film “Uptown Girls” raising her middle finger.
Representatives for Jamie Lynn, Watson, Jamie, Kevin and Britney did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Page Six.
Since her conservatorship ended in November 2021, Britney has publicly called out her family for allegedly working her to the bone, unfairly profiting from her success, controlling her, and silencing her.
Over the years, her father and his attorney vehemently denied that the conservatorship was abusive, saying all of his actions as his daughter’s guardian were legal, properly supervised by the court, and done in her “best interests.”
Jamie Lynn, for her part, has repeatedly denied having any role in the conservatorship, responding to many of Britney’s claims in her memoir, “Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame and Figuring it Out.”
Kevin has also denied any intentional wrongdoing via both his own memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” and his own lawyer.
