Money in the bank, points to remember
One takeaway from every match at Money in the Bank
If not now, when for LA Knight?
This was a golden opportunity for LA Knight. He was supposed to win the title now.
Instead, WWE decides it’s still too early to end Reigns’ run.
This has to make you wonder if WWE is just going to toy with Knight for his entire run. He has been such a megastar who deserves to be rewarded for his work in not only winning over the crowd, but also being solid in the ring. You understand the reason why Reigns retains the title, but if Knight doesn’t finally experience his coronation, you doubt it will ever happen.
Why twice winner of Money in the Bank?
Money in the Bank aims to give young stars the chance to elevate their careers. Tiffany Stratton had her payoff moment in 2024 — and she’ll get another one in someone else’s shoes.
You have to wonder why the five stars who were waiting for their moment didn’t get a chance to collect the briefcase. It’s time for some new faces to join the title scene and WWE has missed the point in doing so.
Even though the men’s team won twice as quickly as the women, it just didn’t seem like the right time to write this story.
Is Oba Femi close to the title photo?
The most electrifying man in the business has currently shined once again by not only outlasting Bronson Reed, but also standing above him. Brass knuckles should have knocked Femi out, but you have to remember this is no ordinary wrestler. He is becoming a one-of-a-kind star, and this was another highlight of Femi’s young career.

Money in the Bank 2026 match notes and analysis
- Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight World Heavyweight Championship Match: It was the perfect way to start the evening. You could tell everyone was hot for Knight’s best chance at the title, and it felt like it would really happen on many occasions. That’s what made this match so fun, with so many close calls and big hits resulting in an exciting opening match. Reigns continues to drop bangers inside the ring and will have the opportunity for more. Grade: A
- Women’s Money in the Bank match: A crop of young stars resulted in an exciting but inexperienced affair that showed the potential and growth that still remained. This is a match made for Sol Ruca to shine and she did. She had a few bumps, but you could say that about everyone, as the flow of the match had some odd moments, but when it resumed, the action was red hot. Tiffany Stratton showed veteran skills to stand above everyone who still has a way to go to reach the top of the mountain. Grade: B
- Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed: Big meaty men punching the meat at its core. You had to love how hard-hitting each star was, and it’s obvious that Reed’s transformation has resulted in more skills in his arsenal that should make him an even bigger star once he’s fully back in the swing. The twist ending with the brass knuckles was an “OMG” moment and Femi continues to reign in even the strongest opponents. Grade: A-
- Women’s World Championship Triple Threat Match Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan:There was no real pacing for a while as it felt rather clunky, but it picked up enough pace to avoid being a disappointment. Lynch showed how his involvement in big title matches can elevate the feeling in the building. Grade: B-
- Men’s Money in the Bank Match: Typically, there are one, maybe two viral moments in a Money in the Bank match. How about a whole bunch? This one had so many amazing locations with things that had never been done before. Je’Von Evans was the true MVP of the match for risking everything for the name of entertainment. Almost every star got a chance to shine, and it rounded out the evening perfectly. Grade: A

Men’s Money in the Bank Match
Penta wanted everyone to know cero miedo once the bell rang, but Bron Breakker wouldn’t hear any of it with a low blow to the luchador. The carnage unfolded pretty quickly afterward, with strong moments happening everywhere, from Penta going above and beyond for certain moves to CM Punk using the ladders to his advantage to Breaker showing off his strength.
The first star to have a chance to win the briefcase was Punk. Naturally, his rival Kevin Owens wasn’t going to let that happen by dragging him down the ladder.
Outside the ring, Je’Von Evans was ready for his viral moment. He already had it, but it was actually on the receiving end of a crushing spear from Breakker that immediately took him out, requiring medical assistance. He was eventually taken out of the match on a stretcher.
Back in the ring, Punk found himself trapped between the steps of the ladder, making Owens smile as he meted out punishment. When Punk finally broke free, he was thrown onto a ladder. Punk’s focus left Owens open to a Trick Williams kick, and he tried to climb – just for Penta to waste the attempt.
Breakker had an opening to the briefcase until Lil’ Yachty stopped him, allowing Williams to try. He couldn’t do it thanks to Owens, and the rapper made a big mistake testing the former WWE Champion, getting a stunner.

Women’s World Championship Triple Threat Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan
The fight begins with Morgan thrown out of the ring and the champion getting in some early shots. Finishers are attempted by everyone pretty early on, but they don’t pose any real credible threats.
Once the match is settled, it’s Morgan who takes control as she lands the patented Three Amigos on Vaquer, going back and forth with strikes on both of her opponents. She begins to feel it but this taunt ends her shot, the champion giving the Devil’s Kiss to her rival while the crowd does their best Booker T impression.
Vaquer has some real momentum, but just when it looks like she might have a chance to seal it, that’s when Lynch finally enters the frame and the match really starts to unfold as the momentum shifts frequently between all sides.
A tipping point occurs when Vaquer and Lynch each receive a submission on Morgan at the same time, which would have made the situation very interesting if she had backed out. Fearing what might happen, they break the hold and try to knock each other out, which doesn’t work.
Vaquer gains the advantage over his competition and moves closer to victory with a pin on Morgan. However, just before the count reached three, Lynch pulled the referee out of the ring to stop him. A frustrated Vaquer tries to make Lynch pay and sends him into a table outside the ring.
That’s when the sneak attack happens.

Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed
Jordan Mendoza
Bronson Reed is not used to letting his opponents overtake him. He got a new taste from the start in this fight.
Femi wasted no time in letting his opponent know that he had a huge task ahead of him, dispatching Reed several times, which seemed to surprise him as “The Ruler” mocked his opponent. He threw him out of the ring and started attacking more.
Reed stopped Femi and that’s when he was able to take control. He imposed a punishment on Femi who sent him to the mat several times, a rare sight for the young star. Even with his impressive transformation, Reed couldn’t muster the power to pick up Femi and that slowed him down a bit. He also couldn’t pull off the tsunami attempt that opened the door for Femi’s return.
Of course, as things got shaky for Reed, The Vision came out and tried to help his member. As the official kicked them out, that allowed Maxxine Dupri to hand Reed some brass knuckles, which he used for two big swings at Femi. Reed then caused the tsunami and everything seemed to be over – until Femi stormed off, stunning everyone in the building.
Reed regained his composure for a Jagged Edge and attempted a moonsault, only for Femi to move out of the way. He took out Austin Theory before continuing the madness with Reed, hitting him with the Fall From Grace and getting the pin in a breathtaking finish.

Women’s Money in the Bank Match: Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Lash Legend vs. Tiffany Stratton
There were a lot of high-flying daredevils in this one and they weren’t afraid to start the role early. Tiffany Stratton was the first to take flight, while Jacy Jayne and Roxanne Perez used the ladders as weapons for punishing shots.
Sol Ruca tried to grab the briefcase, but Jayne pushed the ladder to leave it dangling while holding the briefcase. She was stuck in no man’s land and came across several stars right below her. Moments later, Ruca once again pulled off an incredible feat by jumping out of the corner of the ring and directly onto Lash Legend on a ladder.
Jayne had a chance to grab the briefcase as the crowd’s anticipation grew, but Lola Vice came up behind and put her in a hold that sent them both falling onto a balancing ladder outside the ring. This left Stratton and Perez feeling like one of them was going to win it.
A flurry happened where all the stars were poised to win it all, and ultimately it came down to Stratton and Legend. They fought at the top of the ladder, but it was definitely Tiffy Time again.
Stratton knocked Legend down and she caught…
