The first details regarding the first ever John Cena Classic have been revealed.
Cena made his first appearance on Raw since his retirement on Monday, officially revealing that the show would take place on December 14 at Disney World in Orlando. WWE social media announced that the event would be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Additionally, it was revealed that for the first time ever, there would be two episodes of Raw on the same day – one in Perth, Australia, and the other in Orlando, where the tournament will take place. Cena then unveiled the John Cena Classic Championship, which appeared similar in design to Cena’s old WWE Championship spinner from the mid-2000s.
Although the format has not been officially announced, Cena has mentioned in the past that it would feature top talent from NXT and WWE, and that fan voting would be involved.
The first guest
Once Cena made these announcements, he introduced the first guest, Cody Rhodes. He also said he would be at Survivor Series on November 28 to make sure the field was full.
Randy Orton interrupts the proceedings, causing Cena to leave. Orton and Rhodes then promoted their final men’s match for Crown Jewel this weekend.
