Law Roach, Zendaya’s longtime stylist, revealed the Halloween look on Instagram. For the costume, Zendaya recreated Berry’s vintage Lanvin outfit from the X-Men premiere in New York in July 2000.
The outfit included a string bikini top with matching low-rise wide-leg pants. Zendaya also wore tinted sunglasses, pointed heels, diamond earrings and red nails.
Her short hairstyle completed the look. Berry wore a similar cut when she attended the premiere of X-Men while promoting her role as Storm.
Roach also thanked Lanvin for helping put the costume together. Zendaya’s costume looked a lot like Berry’s original outfit.
The costume continues Zendaya’s tradition of paying homage to movie stars and memorable moments through fashion. Her red carpet looks often reference old Hollywood, classic films or style icons of the past.
This wasn’t the first time Zendaya took inspiration from Berry.
At the 2026 Emmys, Zendaya wore a sparkling Prada dress and pixie cut that recalled Berry’s look in 2002’s Die Another Day.
Berry loved this outfit too. She praised Zendaya’s Emmys look and said she “killed the night.”
