1 killed, 2 injured in crash on State Route 160, CHP says
The California Highway Patrol said roads were closed following the early morning crash in Sacramento County.
NOVERD, California. —
One person is dead and two people were injured after a car crash Sunday morning on State Route 160 north of Antioch.
CHP’s South Sacramento Division said that around 5:30 a.m., a Kia Forte was traveling northbound on State Route 160 when it crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a Ford F-250 pickup truck hauling equipment.
The driver of the Kia was killed in the crash and both people in the truck were taken to the hospital with injuries, according to the CHP.
The CHP is investigating and it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
State Route 160 was closed at Sherman Island Cross Road for several hours due to the crash. All routes are now open.
