Family always comes with drama. Every family has its quirks, its problems, its disagreements and its arguments. Some families have more baggage than others and some have some pretty difficult issues to overcome. Parents with expectations and siblings with different life paths don’t always get along, and that makes times difficult for everyone.

The particular problem in this family concerns the older sister. amidst some job changes and a move, the older sister has nowhere to go as she is bedridden. Their parents insist that the younger sister let her move in with them, but that comes with serious caretaking responsibilities.

Is the poster right to be reluctant to take on this role? Or should family come first?

AITA for not wanting to move in with my bedridden, obese and morbid sister?

It would be nice if she was able to do things on her own. However, my parents expect me to be his “caregiver”.
